The Cook County Land Bank: Returning Property Back to Productive and Sustainable Uses

Mortgage delinquencies have reached record levels as part of the foreclosure process, leaving Chicagoland with an extraordinary number of abandoned and tax delinquent properties.

Please join us as Cook County Commissioner Bridgette Gainer walks us through innovative solutions in dealing with this crisis. The Cook County Land Bank Authority, which recently received funding from the Illinois portion of the national foreclosure settlement, has begun its complex and challenging mission to stabilize our at-risk neighborhoods.
